The New England Culture Fest 2006, is the nation's premiere extravaganza supporting fair trade art empowerment projects connecting New England to the globe!
This unique event is an open-air "edu-tainment" festival featuring everything from flamenco, multi-cultural storytelling, jazz to reggae music for the entire family. This Labor Day weekend visit the heart of the historic Downtown Lowell Art District! This is a vibrant and interactive event for a wonderful cause. Over eighty amazing local and international artisans and socially aware businesses have been hand-selected to participate in the interactive and unusual Culture Fest Fair Trade Expo. Storytelling, henna, face painting, art demonstrations and much more!! Large scale film and video projections will cover the historic mill buildings once night falls. Location:The Enterprise Bank/ New England Quilt Museum Parking
Lots Across from Ayer Lofts at 172 Middle Street in Historic Downtown Lowell, MA 01852
Directions:From either Rt 495 (Exit 35C), or Rt 3 (exit 30N Northbound or 30A Southbound) take the Lowell Connector to Thorndike Street (Exit 5B). At 4th light, Thorndike St merges onto Dutton Street. Go to the 2nd light and turn right onto Market Street. Take the first left off Market Street onto Palmer Street at the light, then the first left onto Middle Street. Event Entrance is on your right.
